Hello Local 657 Members,
A friendly reminder to please complete the Bargaining Survey that closes on Friday, October 9, 2026.
This is your opportunity to inform our Bargaining Team of your priorities for the upcoming round of bargaining with the employer for our next Collective Agreement.
Your completion of the bargaining demand set survey will have direct input into the bargaining process and will ensure that your needs are discussed at both the local and provincial levels.
In late October to mid-November, Local 657 will hold a General Membership Meeting to draft and prioritize demands that address the priorities members have identified in the survey.
The demands from all 24 locals will be discussed and prioritized at a final provincial demand set meeting in early December to inform the bargaining team on what to present to the employer in July of 2027.
Please check your non-college (i.e., personal) email inbox for a message from OPSEU/SEFPO Communications with your link to the bargaining survey.
The survey covers issues relevant to full-time/partial-load Professors, Instructors, Librarians, and Counsellors.
Part-time and sessional faculty are also invited to complete the survey, as we share the common goal of striving for what is best for the college system.
If you know of any of your faculty colleagues who have not received this link, please invite them to provide their contact information to Local 657 so we can provide the link and confirm the best method to get in touch with them.
