No. Union dues are part of your employment contract. Be sure to register to be a full member to enjoy the benefits of full union membership, including strike pay in the event of a labour disruption. Register here

Will we go on strike?

All 24 colleges in the province of Ontario bargain, together as a unit, with the CEC (College Employer Council). Our goal is to communicate that we will stand together to protect quality education, our current jobs and future jobs, and a fair work environment. A strong strike mandate (willingness to strike) is an important bargaining tool. Work-to-rule and other key strategies can avoid or delay a strike. OPSEU and Local 657 offer supports in the event of a strike.
